WHO IS A PILOT
A pilot is a skilled individual who controls the of an aircraft by operating its directional flight controls. This role requires extensive training, knowledge of aviation systems, and the ability to make quick decisions in various flying conditions.
CIVILIAN PILOTS
Civilian pilots operate a diverse array of aircraft for a variety of purposes, including private enjoyment, charitable missions, and business operations. They may also work commercially, flying for non-scheduled (charter) and scheduled passenger and cargo airlines. In corporate aviation, agriculture (such as crop dusting), forest fire management, and law enforcement, civilian pilots play a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient operations. When flying for commercial airlines, these professionals are often referred to as airline pilots, with the pilot in command being designated as the captain.
FIGHTER PILOT
A fighter pilot is a specialized military aviator trained to engage in air-to-air combat, air-to-ground attacks, and occasionally electronic warfare. Operating from the cockpit of a fighter aircraft, these pilots undergo rigorous training in tactics, maneuvers, and dogfighting techniques to effectively handle close-range combat situations.
